Meet Jason Williams
It’s easy to forget and sometimes hard to imagine the people behind an organisation. At Bambra specifically, you’d be forgiven for thinking we are all incredibly good-looking and outrageously hilarious. Well, because you’re right. However, we think you should get to know us all a little better: meet the Bambra Family.
There’s something to be said about the anticipation of waiting on a delivery and the feeling of pure delight when it arrives. When you get that feeling because of a delivery from Bambra, you have Jason Williams to thank. Jason is our Despatch Manager, a full-time legend and a strong member of Team Bambra.
Over 20 years ago, when Jason first started, he was the driver of the only ute that Bambra owned. Since then, he has witnessed the business grow and with it the despatch department too. Now he manages an entire fleet of vehicles and the despatch team.
Being in charge of transport has made Jason a pivotal member of Bambra’s biggest operations. Notably, he helped move the entire contents of the Bambra warehouse from St Kilda to Port Melbourne. That is the kind of once-in-a-lifetime move for a business of Bambra’s size, and certainly no easy feat.
More recently, Jason played a key role in the construction of our new mezzanine. The thought of coordinating a construction zone over an operating production floor would make most run for the hills. However, not one to shy away from a challenge, Jason took it on with both hands ensuring all smiles from clients and minimal headaches on our end.
Day to day, Jason is busy overseeing the constant flow of departing and arriving vehicles. Usually he is dotted around the warehouse, collaborating across departments and solving problems. As Team Bambra’s biggest advocate, it is no surprise that teamwork plays a large part in his management style.
Without Jason, Bambra would just be producing print and not sending it out into the world. A true nightmare. We are incredibly lucky to have him managing despatch, while providing good laughs and smiles along the way.
